Intricate Details
Our Friends at Freedom Valley
Nathan and his son Kevin have been very busy getting ready for the show. I understand that Kevin is quite the helper and has done a phenomenal job of assisting his dad in the preparation necessary to put this all together. He is quite a nice person and was very eager to show Tim and I all that they had done. Here they are at their shop.
A Road Trip to Freedom Valley
Here are a few images of our cabinets. They are almost completed and will soon be ready to be taken to the Home Show.
The first photo is of the hood over the stove top. It is laying on it's back side so it may be hard to visualize exactly what it looks like. The next photo is the panty slideout that will go beside the fridge and also the oven unit. Then there are photos with various cabinets shots including my drawers that will be under the stove top and also the glass cabinets.
The Condition We Are In!!
These are just a few photos showing the condition of our house this week. You still cannot tell that we have been working because nothing has really changed too much visually. It may even look a little bit worse. But, that should all change soon. If you look closely you can tell that our windows have been changed. (Go Anderson windows!) In the photo showing the back of the house, we now have 2 windows where there once was 3 windows. This will be my laundry room when all is said and done.

Liam, Aida and Megan on Christmas Eve at Kevin and Cathy's house
Two Weeks and Going Strong
Hello everyone! It is Sunday evening and we have worked all weekend on the renovation project. Everything is still going well and we continue to have no OSHA recordable injuries so far. The buttheads have worked on the "can lighting" and it is fantastic. We also painted some of the wood that has to be placed on the outside of the house once the windows are switched out. The pictures do not even begin to show how hard everyone worked. We had a few drop in guests including Sharon and Dale and Bonnie and Tom. The Home Show is fast approaching, so we have to keep going.

Grannie's Girls
Just a few random shots
A Country Christmas in Nashville
This year, the Jerrell family Christmas was in Nashville, TN. We had a "country Christmas" at Mark and Laura's log cabin. The party was as crazy as usual; the cabin was very cute and the decorations were so festive; the singing was about as bad as usual; Delaney delighted the crowd with her entertaining, singing and dancing and Riley was just nuts! We found out from a couple of "outsiders" that we are the "eatin'ous and drinkin'ous family they have ever seen....we gotta' go back tomorrow and hang out again!" We all survived despite a few episodes that were questionable!! But, if you don't go, you don't need to know...so what happened in Nashville, stays in Nashville!!

Kitchen Demolition
It is now 2-5-09 and we had to go back to work. Tim and I were actually a little thankful to go back to "work" and get some rest! tee-hee! We have been working very hard this week and with the help of a couple of "buttheads" (Dennis and Gary) many things were accomplished. As you will be able to tell from the photos, the kitchen and family room areas are entirely gutted except for a small section of counter space. This space is still being used to prepare our meals. So, I am happy toreport that the George Foreman grill and a crock pot are both wonderful tools to have during a renovation project. We also have wonderful neighbors who are really to eat out with us with very little encouragement and have also prepared a wonderful meal for us on one evening! Thanks Joyce!!
